The idea for this wall jewelry storage made of wood for organizing rings, necklaces, bracelets and girls' hair accessories came up in the summer of 2019 when I was tidying up my daughter's bedroom and realized that it was a challenge, the hair accessories - and keeping my daughter's jewelry in order.
Months before I had prepared several boxes for it: the headbands, barrettes, rings, headbands, necklaces, etc. shared, but after just a few weeks I found that my "decent" five-year-old daughter had mixed it all up again.
So I took my time and asked my daughter Sophie Marléne what was causing the mess. Her answer was simple: "But mom, I wanted to put on exactly this hair clip, and not just any, and I just couldn't find it!"
At that moment, my inventor's lightbulb was lit in the style of the Pythagorean Archimedes.
So I took some leftover wood and other materials from the basement that were still there from other jobs and prepared the tools. In a short time the first model: "La Theca di Sophie" was born.
Later we had a lot of fun painting and decorating. Only after a few weeks did I realize that the idea worked in practice, Sophie found everything and immediately and the many small jewelry and hairpieces stayed in their place. The order and independence of my child, even after weeks, pleased me very much.
I think the idea came to me thanks to some books I had read since I was a mother, for example books on the Montessori method and books by the now famous Marie Kondo.
So I decided to share this idea with many other little and big princesses.
This jewelry organizer enables me to combine my passion for carpentry and my love for design and decoration. I hope that all girls and mothers who receive their "La Theca die Sophie" are also enthusiastic and seduced to keep everything in order. And that the mothers can also be happy about the result, the order and clarity!
